Role Purpose
The Design Director will lead the design team for The Line project, overseeing various assets related to the development. They will manage the design process across all project scales, ensuring that the design quality and vision align with project goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure design quality and project vision alignment.
- Oversee design delivery in accordance with the Plan of Works.
- Serve as the primary contact for project leadership and design consultants.
- Develop and implement architectural designs for The Line project.
- Lead a team of designers to deliver concepts from inception to completion.
- Manage the delivery of various architectural typologies, including residential, commercial, public, and healthcare structures.
- Review and supervise the production of visualization, concept, and detailed design phases.
- Act as a lead reviewer in the architectural design review process, providing insights and recommendations to executive management.
- Manage communication, coordination, and oversight of architectural consultants.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge: Strong conceptual and design skills, familiarity with building codes, construction methods, and materials. Commitment to design excellence and innovation.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and expertise in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Suite.
- Experience: 25 years of post-graduate architectural design and management experience, including managing international design consultants. Experience in various architectural types and large-scale projects.
- Qualifications: B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture, Postgraduate degree in Architecture or Urban Design, and international accreditation (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent).
